The road to happiness

Driving on the road to happiness
It is slippery and treacherous
It's delusory and dangerous
It's a desert road surrounded by emptiness
The tank is almost empty and the end is far
All that keeps you going is a flickering star
That little star is called hope
And is the most dangerous word
It ties you with a rope
And makes you go till the end of the world
Which is in fact how far you have to go
To reach the end of the happiness road
